Delicious Breakfasts
“I was kinda surprised by the breakfast at Abel Heywood. I had the Eggs Benedict and my partner opted for the full English minus egg and black pudding. The hollandaise tasted homemade with a good white wine vinegar back note, while the fresh eggs, smoked bacon, and perfectly chewy muffins left a lasting impression. This was a breakfast that could compete with any top brunch spot.” view full review
Comfortable Rooms
“The King Room we stayed in was fabulous. It featured a Hypnos bed that provided an really good night's sleep. The room was not just comfortable but also well-equipped with a large TV, a cozy sofa, and an immaculate bathroom. It seemed like a perfect haven after a long day, enhancing our stay tremendously.” view full review
Great Shower Experience
“One of the highlights of our stay was the shower in our room. It was not only powerful but also stylish, offering a refreshing start to our day. The foamy lather paired with hot water made for a luxurious experience that I greatly appreciated.” view full review
Fun Atmosphere
“The hotel's bar area was vibrant and buzzing, providing a fantastic atmosphere. We loved the decorations, which strike a perfect balance between industrial chic and cute comfort. We ended up lounging there longer than planned, and it created a wonderful setting for enjoying our evening.” view full review

I had a fantastic stay at this boutique hotel located right in the heart of Manchester's Northern Quarter. The rooms were not only clean but also offered a cosy atmosphere, making for a truly comfortable experience. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, which made my visit even better. However, while the breakfast was great, I wish there were a few more options available. Overall, it was a delightful stay, and I'll definitely come back!

We had a fantastic time at this hotel in Manchester, nestled right in the vibrant Northern Quarter. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, offering a modern feel despite being compact, which is typical for a boutique hotel. I particularly enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere in the bar and dining area, though I found the overall pricing to be a bit on the higher side considering some minor issues with the shower power and the dish quality during breakfast. Overall, a solid choice for a city stay!

The hotel has a lovely pub atmosphere and offers exceptionally clean and cozy rooms. While the breakfast is a highlight, with high praise for both variety and quality, the location comes with some safety concerns in the nearby streets. The small size of the rooms may not be ideal for everyone, but the overall experience was quite enjoyable.

I had a wonderful stay at this boutique hotel in the Northern Quarter. The atmosphere was lively, and the breakfast was outstanding, with many options to choose from. The decor added a unique charm, making it feel special. However, I did encounter some service inconsistencies at check-in, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, though, I think it's a great place to stay for exploring the local area.

The hotel served as a lovely home base for our trip to Manchester, conveniently located near transportation and local attractions. While the room was comfortable, the first-floor location made us feel exposed to the street outside. Unfortunately, we struggled with the Wi-Fi connectivity, which was a notable inconvenience during our stay. On the brighter side, the staff were incredibly helpful with our bicycles, and the bathroom products were a nice touch.
